Management Framework
LG Display is committed to developing products designed with environmental considerations. These products include energy-saving products, durability-enhanced products that extend product lifespan, and products applying the 3R principles (Recycled, Reduce, Replace). To assess the overall environmental impact of its products, we conduct LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) and obtain environmental certifications based on the results.

Product Environmental Impact Evaluation
LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) of Products
LG Display introduced LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) in 2021 and, in accordance with the ISO 14040 (Principles and Framework for Life Cycle Assessment), evaluates environmental impacts across six impact categories: global warming, resource depletion, ozone depletion, acidification, eutrophication, and photochemical smog. In 2022, we expanded the scope of our LCA to cover 22% of our sold products, and by 2023, this figure had increased to 40%. In 2024, LG Display established an LCA system to reduce assessment time and improve data accuracy, expanding the scope to cover 61.9% of its sold products. In 2025, we completed LCA assessments for 68% of our sold products, further expanding the scope. The assessment results are utilized in environmental impact analysis at each stage, as well as in the development of process technologies and eco-friendly materials, thereby fostering a sustainable environment for the production of eco-friendly products.
Product Hazardous Substance Management
LG Display has established and operates a hazardous substance management program and process to develop and manufacture products that are not harmful to humans or the environment. We will continue to proactively respond to changes in domestic and international regulations related to hazardous substances and strive to manufacture products that are safe for humans and the environment.
