Transparent and ethical management activities are the cornerstone of sustainable growth. In particular, as demands for transparency and fairness in corporate management are increasing in the global market, compliance management has become one of the key factors that determine a company's global competitiveness.
Compliance management refers to efforts to adhere to laws, international treaties, and internal regulations in all areas of business activities, including fair competition, safety and the environment, information protection, and human resources and labor. While compliance management was previously characterized by a “passive anti-corruption approach,” it has evolved into an “integrated illegal activity prevention program” that reflects the needs of all stakeholders, driven by the strengthening of ESG perspectives.
LG Display has been striving to promote free and fair competition under the LG Ethics Guidelines and to pursue mutual benefits with all stakeholders based on mutual trust and cooperation. Since introducing a company-wide compliance management system in 2009, we have continuously expanded its scope and range.
Going forward, we aim to further enhance our compliance program to meet international standards, thereby raising the level of trust from our customers, partners, and society as a global company.
We will continue to pursue sustainable growth by leading the market through technological and product innovation while ensuring that each individual adheres to ethical standards and fulfills their social responsibilities.

Management Strategy
As global market demands for transparency and fairness in corporate management continue to strengthen, compliance management has become a key driver of global competitiveness. Accordingly, LG Display has institutionalized the Board’s engagement in compliance by introducing a compliance review function within the ESG Committee under the Board of Directors, thereby enhancing and stabilizing its compliance management framework.
Management system
LG Display has established a dedicated compliance organization under the Compliance Officer with independence and professional expertise, in accordance with the Commercial Act, and operates a structured compliance management system. In line with the compliance control standards, we evaluate the effectiveness of its compliance control system on an annual basis and report the results to the Board of Directors. In addition, on a semi-annual basis (first and second half), we report the implementation plan, progress, and outcomes of the compliance management system enhancement initiatives to the ESG Committee.
The Board of Directors assumes ultimate responsibility for the compliance management system and fulfills its supervisory role accordingly. Through this governance structure, we ensure that the compliance control system is effectively integrated into business decision-making processes and continues to strengthen a culture of compliance across the organization.
Risk Monitoring and Inspection
LG Display annually identifies and selects key compliance risks, including fair trade, safety, and prevention of unfair competition, based on the likelihood of occurrence and potential impact. For these key risks, we provide tailored training by function and leverage various communication channels, such as card news and newsletters, to share relevant cases and key considerations. Through these efforts, we support employees in recognizing and proactively addressing compliance risks in their daily work. In addition, we continuously update relevant guidelines by reflecting changes in laws and regulations as well as feedback from business units. We also strengthen its preventive risk management capabilities by conducting company-wide self-compliance assessments through our compliance portal, along with ad-hoc thematic reviews.

Fostering a Culture of Compliance
LG Display implements a range of compliance initiatives to ensure that compliance management is firmly embedded in its organizational culture. These include company-wide compliance training for all employees, the establishment and operation of guidelines that provide clear standards for conduct, as well as the regular dissemination of case-based newsletters and updates on changes in laws and regulations.
