Strengthening the Competitiveness of Suppliers

LG Display maintains close relationships with its suppliers, from procurement to manufacturing. To secure our competitiveness, we must strengthen the capabilities of our suppliers and solidify the overall industrial ecosystem. Accordingly, we are striving to create an industrial ecosystem that enables horizontal coexistence and mutual growth with our suppliers based on a new win-win cooperation system.

Win-Win Cooperation System

Under the philosophy that “the competitiveness of our suppliers is the competitiveness of LG Display,” we introduced the New Win-Win Cooperation System in 2017 to move beyond traditional hierarchical relationships among first-, second-, and third-tier suppliers and foster a horizontal ecosystem of mutual growth with all suppliers. Through this framework, we promote stronger supplier competitiveness and enhanced communication by providing a variety of shared-growth programs, including financial support, technical cooperation support, and healthcare and welfare support.

Signing of Mutual Growth Agreements Among Suppliers

LG Display’s fair trade and mutual growth agreement is a commitment to mutual compliance with fair trade laws and regulations and to win-win cooperation, aimed at establishing a voluntary fair trade order. To actively promote mutual growth, we signed agreements with a total of 84 companies in 2025. Additionally, tier-1 suppliers pledged win-win cooperation agreements with their subcontractors, signing agreements with 77 tier-2 suppliers and 48 tier-3 suppliers. Through this, we support the growth of tier-2 and lower-tier suppliers as well.

Financial Support

LG Display helps improve the financial soundness of our suppliers through various measures. We support the smooth cash flow of our suppliers through direct financial support, such as interest-free loans for win-win technology cooperation and early payment of holiday bonuses. In addition, we have implemented various indirect financial support measures, such as providing low-interest loan products, mutual growth funds, and network loans. In addition, we introduced and have been operating a win-win payment system since July 2015 to support smooth payment collection for secondary suppliers.

Technical Collaboration Support

Cultivating Supplier-led Technical Capabilities
LG Display supports the technological capabilities among its suppliers by implementing various programs, such as joint research and development, manufacturing innovation activities, and joint patent applications to promote technological innovation beyond simple cooperation. In 2025, we conducted a total of 140 technical guidance and improvement activities with our suppliers and 16 joint research and development projects. In addition, we are strengthening our technological competitiveness by supporting joint patent applications for the excellent technologies developed by our suppliers.

Strengthening Educational Infrastructure for Suppliers
LG Display provides practical training programs free of charge to suppliers with relatively limited education and training infrastructure. Training programs that were previously offered offline only to first-tier suppliers have been expanded to an online format, broadening access to second- and third-tier suppliers as well. Since the fourth quarter of 2019, we have also made our online training programs available free of charge to not only suppliers but also other small and medium-sized enterprises. As a result, a total of 58 companies and 5,634 participants completed the training programs in 2025.

Medical Welfare Support

LG Display supports the enhancement of suppliers’ management capabilities by providing medical and welfare support and promoting occupational safety and health improvement activities. To help improve the safety and well-being of supplier employees, we extend access to our in-house medical facilities, which are operated for our employees, to employees of supplier companies as well. Through these efforts, medical and welfare benefits were provided to 308 employees from 93 supplier companies in 2025. In addition, we supported workplace occupational safety and health improvements at 11 supplier companies in 2025.

Strengthening Communication with Suppliers

We are strengthening communication with suppliers by gathering and addressing their concerns and suggestions both online and offline, and by sharing business plans at the Mutual Growth New Year's Meeting. Furthermore, we are jointly exploring ways to collaborate in leading the future display market.
